                                                                    OB Nurse Manager

Porter Medical Center is seeking an OB Nurse Manager. The Nurse Manager has the primary responsibility for the twenty-four (24) hour operation of his/her unit by assuming the responsibility and accountability for planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating nurse practice within the unit. He/she is expected to provide clinical, as well as administrative leadership for the unit, resulting in efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and supplies. The Nurse Manager is expected to work collaboratively with staff, physicians, and other administrative personnel.

-Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
-Current unrestricted license as an RN in the State of Vermont.
-Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or related field desirable.
-Demonstrates knowledge and clinical competence in clinical area of responsibility.
-Demonstrates ability to provide leadership.
-Active participation in continuing education and committee process.
-Vision in planning and adaptability to change.
