The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival will hold the Festival at Burlington’s Waterfront Park August 7-10, 2014.
Now heading towards its eighth year, the Festival is a four-day celebration of Lake Champlain, showcasing hundreds of exhibits throughout sites on the Burlington Waterfront (Burlington Boathouse, Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center, Burlington’s Waterfront Park and more). Festival activities: Lake Champlain Antique & Classic Boat Show on Saturday; Kids Activities; Stand Up for the Lake; Free Concert Series; evening ticketed concerts, presented by Higher Ground; international food court and craft vendors; beer tent; maritime exhibits and more! The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival has been named a Top 100 North American Event by the American Bus Association and a Top Ten Vermont Summer Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and is well-supported by both the state and regional chambers, as well as the city of Burlington. Daily admission is free to most events with select events requiring admission.
Join Brittney Hibbs and Mike Curkov on Saturday, August 9, for Stand Up for the Lake. The Stand Up for the Lake is a community-based festival that promotes wellness, fitness, and lake stewardship through a chic and trendy sport—stand up paddle boarding!
The festival encourages the LCCSC to engage the community in and around Lake Champlain and fulfill our mission of encouraging lake stewardship. Sunday, throughout the day there will be a Sports Expo with stand-up paddle boarding demos, clinics, hot gear vendors and plenty of good times.
The Community Sailing Center’s mission is to encourage and celebrate the responsible use and long-term stewardship of Lake Champlain by fostering educational and recreational opportunities for all members of our community. This is the second year the Lake Champlain Maritime Festival will host this must-do event and it is a must for all outdoor enthusiasts.
