Alexandra Leslie is a Reporter for Local 22 & Local 44. She joined the team in March 2015 as a Reporter and Weekend Producer.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in the small town of North Reading, Massachusetts. To put that on a map, it's about 30 minutes north of Boston.

Where did you attend school?
I attended the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. I graduated with a B.A. in Journalism in May 2014.

Where have you worked previously?
This is my first professional news job! While I was in college, I worked on our campus news program, Newswatch 16, as a producer, reporter and anchor. I also interned at 7News-WHDH in Boston with the station's investigative reporter and producer.

What is the most challenging story you've ever done?
The most challenging story I've done (so far) was when I covered a fatal bike vs. car accident in Hinesburg, Vt. I spoke to the bicyclist's friends the day after the accident, and it was hard to hold back my sadness when everyone I was interviewing was on the verge of tears. Deaths are never easy to cover, but what makes it more challenging is to make sure you're honoring the victim as they would want to be remembered.

Who is your favorite national correspondent?
My favorite national correspondent is ABC World News anchor, David Muir. Fun fact: he also attended Ithaca College!

What are your hobbies?
When I'm not watching the news (or reporting it), I love to travel. I love road trips or spontaneous getaways.

What are your favorite foods?
Buffalo wings, sushi, cheese, chocolate, and anything involving pesto!

What is one thing you would put on a "bucket list"?
My bucket list includes a lot of traveling, but I definitely have to visit all 50 states!
