Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. I usually describe it as somewhere near Plymouth, between Boston and Cape Cod.
Where did you attend college?
Emerson College in downtown Boston.
Where have you worked previously?
I worked at KCAU-TV in Sioux City, Iowa for over 3 years. I had an amazing experience there in the Midwest covering Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. It's 3 years I'll always cherish!
What is the most challenging story you've ever done?
During the summer of 2011 in Sioux City, the area experienced a historic flood on the Missouri River that lasted 3 months. Folks were evacuated from their homes and levees were built in just days. On top of that, there were two major tornadoes I covered for over a week each. But the hardest stories would be the more personal stories, like a teenager trying to walk at her graduation after a paralyzing car accident and the funeral of a police officer killed on duty, leaving behind a wife and 2 young children.
Who is your favorite national correspondent?
Just one? I can't! Anderson Cooper, David Muir, Diane Sawyer but most importantly, Barbara Walters.
What are your hobbies?
I danced for 19 years but haven't since starting my journalism career. I'll always love dance but my hobbies now include trying out new recipes, catching up on my favorite TV shows (I watch a lot of television), reading, and hanging out with my cat, Maxwell :).
What are your favorite sports teams?
I'm a New England girl so big surprise here: Red Sox! Patriots! Celtics!
What is your favorite book?
Diehard Harry Potter fan. I love autobiographies too!
What is your favorite food?
Pizza. Hands down.
What is one activity you would put on a "bucket list"?
Interviewing a sitting President.
