Arctic air will rush in for St. Patrick's Day and we could be talking RECORDS once more! In fact we may even have record low high temperatures, in other words coldest daytime highs for that specific date. Those could be broken Sunday or Monday, March 16-17.
The reason? Cold, dry high pressure will move southeast from Canada. Dry air can cool very quickly. Plus with our recent snow cover it helps to cool temperatures down farther at night. Even more so, a clear sky at night allows all the heat to escape into space. Well, Spring starts Thursday and temperatures will be trending warmer by then...
