Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Connecticut and spent a lot of time with family that lives in Long Island, New York.
Where did you attend school?
In May 2015, I graduated from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. While I was at school, I worked for the campus radio station WICB as a reporter and eventually News Director. College radio was a lot of fun and I met my best friends working there! And it's true - Ithaca really is gorges!
Where have you worked previously?A week after graduating I started working for News Talk WHCU radio in Ithaca, New York. I didn't move far, but living in Ithaca was very different than being a college student in the little city. After about nine months, I picked up everything and came here.
What is the most challenging story you've ever done?
The most challenging story I've covered so far was a drug and properties investigation. A village nearby Ithaca created a property and nuisance ordnance that residents felt wasn't being implemented thoroughly, but the story lead to other issues as well. I've also reported on lead being found in the water supply of schools as well as a murder trial.
Who is your favorite national correspondent?
Anderson Cooper. I also really like Anthony Bourdain, the chef turned journalist. He's not a traditional reporter, but he is very talented and can relate to anyone.
What are your hobbies?Cooking, hiking, long walks on the beach. I also enjoy photography and painting.
What are your favorite sports teams?
Team USA! My family is made up of swimmers and runners, so we watch the Olympics. I love baseball and hockey, and usually end up rooting for my friends when they're playing in the game.
What is your favorite book?"Ender's Game" and "Slaughterhouse 5" are probably my top two. The Anthony Bourdain books are great as well.
What is your favorite food?
Chicken Parm. I make it all of the time! I'm a huge foodie!
What is one thing you would put on a "bucket list"?
Backpack across Europe or road trip to a bunch of state parks in the U.S.
