HUBBARDTON, Vt. - Vermont State Police have made an arrest in the shooting deaths of two men in Hubbardton.

Police say they’ve arrested Sylvester Labartino, 70, in connection with the shooting deaths.

Michelle Charron, sister of the victim, spoke to FOX 44 and ABC 22 Reporter Kristen Tripodi on camera outside the courtroom. She says she found out on Facebook that her brother Shane Plummer and nephew Chris Plummer were killed.

Police received a 911 call about a possible shooting just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived at a home on Route 30, they found
two men dead outside.

Neighbors say the two that were killed are father and son. They were electricians on a service call.

Further investigation revealed the home belonged to Labartino. Police found him in his car traveling toward Castleton just before 2:30 p.m.

He was arrested early Thursday and faces two counts of second-degree murder, police said.

Preliminary investigation shows that both men died from gunshot wounds, police said. Police have not released a possible motive.

Labartino is expected to be arraigned at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Vermont Superior Court in Rutland.
