Vt. Man Assaults Cab Driver Over Fare

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. - Police say a Winooski, Vt. man assaulted a cab driver during a dispute over the cab fare.

Police say 25-year-old Nathan Crowley faces a charge of simple assault.

Police say they were called to the Staples Plaza around 2:30am Sunday for a report of an argument. Police say Crowley, who was the passenger, and the cab driver had been arguing about the taxi fare.

During the disagreement, police say Crowley assaulted the cab driver.

He was taken into custody and booked into the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.
