A Vermont prison guard accused of sexually abusing inmates has taken a plea deal.

In federal court Wednesday, Tracy Holliman, 49, of South Burlington, pleaded guilty to destroying information related to his investigation. In exchange for his guilty plea, sexual misconduct charges were dropped.

Last September, a grand jury accused Holliman of engaging in sex with two women at the Chittenden Regional Correction Facility in South Burlington. The two were in federal custody.

Holliman is on leave with pay, according to DOC Commissioner Andy Pallito.

Holliman is scheduled to be sentenced in August. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
