Ready to get R.I.P.P.E.D?!

Okay, don't get discouraged or intimidated! This workout can be as easy or hard as you want. It can also be high or low impact. The rules are pretty loose, as long as you get the blood pumping and try the moves, you'll be on your way!

R.I.P.P.E.D. stands for Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, and Diet. While the class can't focus on diet during the one-hour-long time frame, Core is replaced. Participants are given some nutritional ideas, recommendations, etc. at the beginning or end of the class or the website for R.I.P.P.E.D. That site is:

This is a fast moving class with one instructor at the front. The instructor guides participants through each of the Ripped workouts. There are dumbbells required, a mat is optional, and a towel is recommended because it is sure to make you sweat!

An average class is one hour, burning about 800 calories and working biceps, triceps, shoulders, core, legs, and your mind to remember the moves! The class is offered at a number of locations locally, but this video is from the Burlington North End Studio on N. Winooski Ave. The classes are offered Monday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. More information can be found here:
