3rd Annual Caws 4 Paws Event comes to Barre

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Hang out with your dog this weekend at the 3rd annual Caws 4 Paws event in Barre, Vermont. This Saturday, June 3, hundreds of pet lovers will join together at the B.O.R. Ice Arena to celebrate everything and anything to do with pets.

There will be countless humane societies, rescue groups, organizations, business, as well as police dog demos, search and rescue demos, and dog behavior experts, and grooming demos.

The event is free to the public but donations to the Lacey’s fund will be accepted at the door. The Lacey’s Fund is a Vermont organization that helps retired police dogs with veterinary bills.

JD Green, of 101 the One and a proud organizer of the event, says Lacey’s Fund is a great organization that does a lot of good.

“These are dogs that have gone through a lot when they are on the force, and a lot of them have to retire early because it’s a grueling schedule they keep , so they are retired police canine dogs that need a lot of help,” JD says.

The doors open at the B.O.R Ice Arena June 3 at 10 am. The event goes until 3 p.m. You can find out more on the event’s Facebook page here
