Middlebury, Vt. - Harry Potter fans all know the game Quidditch. It's played in both the books and the movies.
But some might not know that there is a Muggle version of the game without the magic or the flying broomsticks.
On Saturday, Middlebury College held its first ever Quidditch tournament. Schools from across New England competed against each other for bragging rights and the Gold Snitch.
But teams say it was more about the community than the competition.
"What make this game so special to so many of us and why I originally kept coming back was because of the community it forms and it’s not just here at the college in our community, but when UVM comes and visits and when RPI comes and Skidmore and they come and play together," said Andrew Plotch, Middlebury co-captain.
The winner of this year’s tournament was Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 50 point to RPI!!
