Arrest Warrant Issued for Boyfriend of Middlesex Homicide Victim

MIDDLESEX, Vt. - An arrest warrant has been issued for the boyfriend of Cindy Cook, who was found dead in a wooded area in Middlesex Wednesday evening, police say.

Police have ruled Cook’s death a homicide.

Police believe Randal Gebo, 61, of Barre City, is in possession of and operating Cook’s 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman.

Gebo has left Vermont with the vehicle and was most recently believed to be in West Prescott, Arkansas Friday afternoon, police say, where he used Cook’s debit card to withdraw cash from a bank.

A warrant has been issued for Gebo’s arrest for aggravated vehicle operation without owner consent and fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of a credit card issued to another.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Randal Gebo or the 2009 Mini Cooper is asked to contact the Vermont State Police Middlesex barracks at 802-229-9191.

Cook, 59, of Barre City, was found in a wooded area down an embankment off Brook Road in Middlesex July 12th.

She was last in contact with her family on July 3rd.

Her cause of death is still pending.
