Montpelier, Vt. - At Birchgrove Baking in Montpelier the holidays are always a big deal.
Co-owner Jennifer Toce said from Halloween through January first is the busiest time of year. She said holiday sales impact the business greatly.
"Thanksgiving is huge," she said.
For Thanksgiving Day the crew wrapped up early around 11 a.m. Toce said Wednesday was probably the busiest day between prepping desserts and taking last minute orders.
This year Toce said she is thankful to own Birchgrove Baking.
"I'm thankful that I get to have this business," she said. "This is what I've wanted to do since I was three years old. My entire life I wanted to own a bakery. I'm super thankful I get to come to work everyday, make cookies and make people happy and I get to love my job."
