Black Lives Matter VT launched its second annual Black Lives Matter Day at the Vermont Statehouse Friday.

The group listed demands for transparency in police in Vermont.

In 2015, Governor Peter Shumlin Declared February 12 as Black Lives Matter Day. In the proclamation he stated that "we must continue to reduce and eliminate racial and ethnic disparities for all populations, and support efforts to increase diversity and promote racial equality in our Green Mountain State."
