BURLINGTON, Vt. - If you didn't get enough of the solar eclipse in our region Monday afternoon, you've got another chance in seven years.
Burlington will be in the pathway of totality for the next one, in April 2024.
Mayor Miro Weinberger says he's excited for the chance for more people to see what else the Queen City has to offer.
"I think it's going to be a great opportunity for Burlington to experience this. It will be a great community event and also be an opportunity for others to come to be part of the totality and get to experience how great Burlington is beyond just couple minutes that we're in the shadow," said Weinberger.
Newly announced Burlington Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Director, Cindi Wight says she's also excited for the opportunity.
Wight adds she'll be reaching out to those cities who were in the path of totality this year to see what worked for them, and how Burlington can host a great eclipse in 2024.
