Burlington Police officers will have a presence on Hyde Street Wednesday night; this after they say shots were fired from a red vehicle, shortly after 5 o’clock.

Police initially received a report of a loud bang.  They say a resident located what appeared to be a bullet hole in the side of his apartment.  They don’t have anyone in custody.

No one was hurt.

Police are still trying to find out how many shots were fired.  They say there are definitely two bullet holes, possibly a third.

Police say historically, these incidents don’t tend to be random.

Crews are on scene of the 8 unit apartment building, we’re told, to mostly protect the neighbors.
