DORSET, Vt - A celebration of life will be held next week for a native vermonter who was killed in the Las Vegas mass shooting.
Sandy Casey was a special education teacher, who moved to Redondo Beach, California.
She grew up in Dorset, Vt. and graduated from Burr and Burton Academy, and later, the College of Saint Joseph in Rutland.
According to her obituary the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert will hold a celebration of life next Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday at Burr and Burton Academy.
Casey was 35 years old.
She and 57 others died in a mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas October 1.
