Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin will sign a midyear budget adjustment bill Tuesday.

The bill increases funding for out-of-state prison beds, methadone treatment, and child care subsidies.

State officials also put $9 million in a rainy day fund.

The governor is set to sign the bill at 10 a.m. at the Howard Center in South Burlington.
