Grab the bell bottoms and step back in time! The Vermont History Center in Barre is home to a brand new, groovy, exhibit. It's called Freaks, Radicals, & Hippies: Counterculture in 1970s Vermont.

The Vermont Historical Society has been collecting for the past two years to prepare for the opening of the exhibit, on September 24. It tells the story about the social, political, and cultural movements in Vermont. The exhibit will close September 2017.

The Vermont Historical Center is open Monday through Friday from 9am until 4pm. Tickets are $20 for adults with special discounts for seniors, students and children. The exhibit is joined by two other. More information, and details about special visiting hours can be found online.
