Garage With Multiple Cars, Boats Catches Fire

GEORGIA, Vt. - Georgia Fire officials say a garage caught fire at a home on Sandy Birch Road. Georgia Fire Keith Baker says the call came in close to 10:00 Thursday night.

The call originally came in as an explosion over dispatch.

Baker did note there were older cars and boat motors in the garage.

Fire officials arrived on scene within five minutes. Baker says the fire was fully involved.

No injuries were reported.

Georgia, Milton and St. Albans Town Fire Departments and ambulance services were on scene to assist.

Crews will be on scene for a few hours overnight to maintain the fire, but it is largely under control, according to fire officials.

Baker says it's too early to determine a cause of the fire at this stage in the investigation.
