If you love fall and pumpkins, you'll love the two paired together.
The Vermont Giant Pumpkin Growers hosted the 11th annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh In Saturday at Sam Mazza's Farm.
Growers from around the area competed to see who has the biggest and best pumpkin.
This year's winner was Matt DeBacco, of Rocky Hill, Conn. He says he started growing in April, and kept watering them up until the night before the weigh in.
"It was harvested yesterday, and even off the vine, because I know every pound counts, I cut the vines and actually put water jugs next to it. And it drank a gallon and a half last night just sitting on the trailer," DeBacco said.
DeBacco's pumpkin weighed in at a whopping 1,435 pounds.
Local 22 & Local 44 was told he had to buy appetizers for everyone at dinner tonight.
