Gov's Inaugural Gala Proceeds Helps Vermont Veterans

Burlington, Vt - Vermont veterans received a sizable donation thanks to Governor Phil Scott.

Proceeds from the Governors Inaugural Gala were given to the Vermont Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

The gala raised 200 thousand dollars.

The motorcycle association was the first group to receive a donation.

The money will go towards a new Harley-Davidson motorbike that will be raffled off.

The raffle could raise as much as 35-thousand dollars.

"The proceeds will support it's work to help Vermont veterans and a portion of what's raised will be used to set up an annual motorcycle raffle." Said Governor Scott. "So that this initial donation has a long lasting impact with perpetual fundraising opportunities."

Governor Scott is met up with New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu at the Echo Leahy Center in Burlington Thursday night for an event with republican leadership in the twin states.
