Lyndonville, Vt. - Lyndon State College students woke up to a frightening email on Thursday.
Just before 11 a.m. students were emailed about "concerning graffiti" in one of the Residence Hall restrooms. The message read, "LSC Judgement Day 3/15/18".
School leaders believe it was new within 12 hours prior to finding it. Vermont State Police were immediately notified.
Director of Marketing and Communications Sylvia Plumb released the following statement:
"This morning, the college investigated a student's report of some concerning graffiti in a campus residence hall. The message read, "LSC Judgement Day 3/15/18." The college is investigating the source of the graffiti and reported it to the police. In the interest of campus safety, we made the campus aware of the situation and requested the community report any unusual behavior to the Public Safety Office. The safety of our campus is of the utmost importance. We thank the student for reporting the incident."
