Thousands remain without power in Vermont Monday morning following the ice storm.

Just before 9 a.m. Monday, there were 11,735 people without power. The bulk of the outages are in Franklin, Orleans, Lamoille and Chittenden Counties.

In an email to FOX44 & ABC22 News Monday morning, Green Mountain Power said they got new outages overnight.

GMP says they are seeing some additional icing, which continues to be a problem.

GMP said they have fresh crews out so they expect to make good progress on restoration efforts.
