DETROIT - General Motors is issuing three new recalls.

The automaker says in all about 1.5 million vehicles are affected.

The biggest recall involves 1.2 million of GM's popular crossover SUV models because of a problem that could result in the side airbags not deploying. The second recall is for 64,000 2013 and 2014 Cadillac XTS sedans for a problem with overheating brakes. And the third recalls involves about 300,000 Chevrolet Express and GMCSsavana full-size vans to rework the instrument panel to improve safety.

GM says there are no injuries related to the three new recalls.

These latest recalls come on the heels of the automaker's recall of about 1.6 million vehicles for an ignition switch problem.
