INTERACTIVE: Are Fireworks Legal in Your State?

FOX 44 and ABC 22 took a look where fireworks are legal in the United States. 

According to, some states allow all or most types of consumer fireworks. These include shells and mortars, multiple tube devices, Roman candles, rockets, sparklers, firecracker with no more than 50 milligrams of powder, and novelty items. Some states only allow novelty fireworks which include snakes, airplanes, ground spinners, helicopters, fountains, and party poppers. 

There are only four states that ban fireworks completely.
