Report: State-By-State Marijuana Use by Age Group

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration released the 2011-12 National Surveys on Drug Use and Health (NSDUHs) report.

The NSDUH is an annual survey of civilian, non-industrialized population of the United States. The report looked at 25 substance abuse and mental health outcomes, by age group, for 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The map below looks at marijuana use by age group. States highlighted in darker the red had a higher percentage of marijuana use in the past month by people aged 12+. Those in lighter red had a lower percentage of marijuana use in the past month by people aged 12+. Click on a state to see marijuana use aged 12+, 12-17, 18-25, and 26+.
