The most recent storm to batter the island nation, seen in this satellite image from the University of Dundee, is causing major flooding along the River Thames. More than 6,000 homes have been evacuated as the water rises to its highest levels in 60 years. This comes on the heals of the wettest January in more than 2,000 years for many English cities and towns.
Along with the rain, winds have also been a concern. Thousands have lost power, including many in Wales.
