The BBC posted pictures of a large sinkhole that developed in the northern city of Natal, which is hosting twelve World Cup matches. The next is Tuesday.
The sinkhole swallowed up cars and homes after 13" of rain fell in just a few days time, according to the British news agency. That's the average amount that falls during the city's wettest month.
The area has dried out this weekend, but rain will return early this coming week as Italy prepares to play Uruguay.
