Dartmouth College says a member of its cross-country ski team died at an event this weekend.

In a statement to the college, Dartmouth College President
Philip Hanlon said Torin Tucker, 20, died while competing at an event in Craftsbury, Vermont, Saturday.

Published reports say the junior is from Sun Valley, Idaho.

Dartmouth Director of Athletics and Recreation Harry Sheehy said the following:

“The thoughts of Dartmouth athletics are with Torin’s family, friends, and the entire Dartmouth community on this sad day,” Sheehy said.

No word on a cause of death.

The Dartmouth ski team returned to campus and did not compete in the remainder of the Vermont Carnival.
