DURHAM, N.H. - "American Idol" finalist Alex Preston was back home in the Granite State this weekend.

Preston is one of three contestants left on this season of the hit show.

He toured several areas of New Hampshire Saturday, before ending up in Durham to take part in the American Idol Home Town Hero Parade. Town officials say some 3,000 people, mostly families and University of New Hampshire students, lined the streets to watch.

Preston then performed at a concert in the University's Whittemore Center. Some 7,000 people were expected to attend.
