NH DOT Holding Meeting on US Route 4 Bridge

CANAAN, N.H. - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) is holding a public information meeting on the US Route 4 Bridge over the Mascoma River.

A press release says the proposed work includes partial and full depth deck repairs, replacement of the deck membrane, asphalt and asphaltic plug expansion joints, replacement of the bridge coping, bridge rail and bridge approach rail, concrete repairs to the wingwalls, repair of erosion under the abutments, placement of slope protection at the abutments, and painting the entire superstructure.  At this time, alternating one-way traffic is expected during repair work.

The meeting will show the public and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to get feedback on the proposals.

The meeting will be held at the town fire station on Tuesday, May 13 at 6 p.m.
