New Hampshire's house voted against a bill that would have restricted local police departments from receiving armored vehicles.

They're called MRAPS,   Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, they're coming from a military surplus program.

Vermont State Police accepted one for the southern part of the state.  A New Hampshire state representative is very much against the MRAPS.

JR Hoell says they have to draw a line somewhere saying there is no reason police officers need that kind of equipment.

Correction: In a previous version, this story mistakenly said the bill had passed, but in fact, a motion to kill the bill had been passed.
