CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire legislature is considering changing the state's constitution to prohibit sexual orientation discrimination.

The proposal would go before voters during the November 2014 elections. Both the Senate and House will have to vote to get the proposal on the November ballot.

If allowed, the amendment would need a 2/3 vote on Election Day to pass. Governor Hassan would then decide when the amendment would go into effect.
