DURHAM, N.H. - Police are investigating a weekend fire near the University of New Hampshire campus.

Durham Deputy Chief Rene Kelley says the fire occurred in an apartment building on Park Court Friday night into Saturday morning. Many students had just arrived for the new semester.

Responding officials had to break glass in order to evacuate residents inside, but no one was injured according to police.

Some of the residents are students, and were displaced by the blaze.

According to officials, the building has 12 apartments and houses 36 residents.

No arrests have been made in connection with the fire, but police are actively investigating.
