Storm Closings, Cancellations

Below is a list of closures, cancellations and delays that have been reported to FOX44 & ABC22 News. The list will be updated as new information arrives.



Wednesday Evening

CCTA will be suspending service early Wednesday evening due to deteriorating road conditions and safety concerns. The last departures will be at 8:30 PM.

Thursday Morning

No LINK Express, Local Commuter, or Neighborhood Special routes will operate Thursday morning. CCTA plans to operate all local routes except the Neighborhood Specials and Price Chopper Shopping Shuttle Thursday morning, but asks passengers to be aware that delays are likely. At this time, CCTA plans to operate afternoon LINK Express and local commuter routes on Thursday.

Burlington City Arts: BCA Classes and open studios are cancelled tonight, Wednesday, March 12th. Pollywog Preschool Art Drop-In is cancelled tomorrow morning, Thursday, March 13th. Thursday morning Wheel II and afternoon Wheel I are also cancelled.

Burlington Electric: Burlington Electric Department is closing at 3 p.m. 

Burlington School District:  All after school activities, including Burlington Kids, has been cancelled.
Parents with students in grades K-8 need to pick up their child by the end of the school day at 1:50 p.m.
The High School will end at 3 p.m. as usual.

There will be NO Curbside recycling for the City of Burlington on Thursday, March 13. Recycling for Thursday customers will resume its regular schedule the following Thursday (March 20th).

Castleton State College: College is closing at 1 p.m. and will reopen at 7 a.m. Thursday.

CCV: List of CCV cancellations and class cancellations.

Champlain College: Champlain College's evening classes starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday are cancelled. All other student activities remain open. Classes are scheduled to resume normally on Thursday. 

Community Health Centers of Burlington: Center will be closing at 6 p.m. There will delay reopening until 9 a.m. Thursday.

Edge Fitness Centers: All clubs will be closing at 5:30 p.m. on 3/12. Last class will be at 12 p.m. The Edge is hoping to open by 9 a.m. Thursday (3/13) with the first class starting at 12 p.m. 

Winooski Schools: The THRIVE after school program will be running as scheduled. All other after school activities are cancelled for tonight (3/12).

New York

Beekmantown School District: All after school activities are cancelled.

CVPH: Tom Miller Rehabilitation will open at 10 a.m., Rehabilitation at PARC will open 10 a.m., CVPH Health Center will open at 10 a.m., CVPH Dental Center will open at 10 a.m. 

CVPH Open MRI will be closed. Appointments will shift to Valcour Imaging at 16 Degrandpre Way. 

CVPH Health Plaza (including Wound Center, WIC, Lab, Blood Donor Center) will open at 10 a.m. For blood work before 10 a.m.,  please visit the main campus at CVPH Medical Center.

Peru School District: Secondary Students at Peru Central School District will be released at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Elementary students will be released at 12:45 p.m. All after-school activities have been cancelled.
All parent conferences scheduled for Wednesday & Thursday have been postponed to March 19 & 20 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

All after-school activities for the City of Plattsburgh School District have been cancelled for Wednesday. This includes Project Connect.
Port Henry: The village office will close at 12 p.m. Wednesday and will be closed Thursday due to the storm. The office will be open on Friday regular hours.

SUNY Plattsburgh: Classes after 4 p.m. at the main campus are cancelled. SUNY Plattsburgh at Hudson Valley Community College are running as scheduled. Classes at SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury that start at noon and thereafter have been cancelled (3/12). Classes are scheduled to resume normally on Thursday.
