NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND- Fairpoint Communications workers in Northern New England say when it comes to labor negotiations, The telecommunications company isn't playing fair.
Union workers have been working without a contract all month.
A union rep said the more than 1,700 International Brotherhood of Electrical and Communication Workers of America are now on standby for a strike.
Thursday morning, Fairpoint gave its final offer, which would freeze the existing pension plan, allow the company to hire contractors, get rid of retiree health care benefits, and make workers share health care costs.
