GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - With traffic for the New York State Fair expected to be heavier for $1 admission, the state has announced that additional park-and-ride lots will be open to fairgoers.
A shuttle service will take people to the Fair from the Regional Market, Hancock Airport, John Glenn Boulevard and Farrell Road near I-690.
These new lots will provide about 2,500 more parking spaces for fairgoers.
Service begins Saturday morning at 9 am and will run through the rest of the Fair.
Fairgoers will be dropped off at and picked up in the Pink lot, opposite Gate 4. Buses will run every 20 minutes.
