New York man Accused of Driving car With axe Through Roof Arrested Again

ORANGEVILLE, N.Y. (WROC-T.V.) - A Wyoming County man charged with driving a car with an axe through the roof has been arrested again.

Jared Price, 21, of the Town of Java is charged with felony criminal mischief.

According to the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office, while being transported in a patrol car following an arrest on July 28, Price intentionally damaged wiring which controlled airbags to the vehicle.

In addition to the most recent charge, Price was already charged with burglary, resisting arrest and attempted escape in connection to the incident.

Price was arrested on July 24 and charged with driving while impaired by drugs when he was discovered driving a car with no doors, windshields or license plates and an axe stuck in the roof.

Price was jailed in lieu of bail. He will appear in the Town of Orangeville Court on August 16.
