New York State Police Investigating Death of Morrisonville man

Morrisonville, N.Y. - Police are investigating a death that allegedly occurred during a domestic dispute in Morrisonville, New York.

New York State Police say Sheldin I. Deso, 30, was found unconscious on the floor on the evening of June 15. Troopers administered CPR until the EMS could come and transport him to the hospital.

According to police, Deso was listed as critical condition and died at the University of Vermont Health Network at the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital on June 17.

Investigators say Deso was reportedly drunk at the residence in Morrisonville and threatened to harm family members with a ditch bank blade (a garden tool).

A media release says State Police were called to the scene and found Deso restrained on the floor when they arrived.

Police say an autopsy was performed in Albany that determined Deso died from compressive asphyxia. Authorities say the incident is still under investigation.
