CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. - An ice jam along the Great Chazy River is causing flooding in Champlain.

According to Clinton County Emergency Services, River Street in Champlain is closed due to high water as of 9 P.M. Tuesday. The water is also high in the Perry Mills area, where a gauge reports the river to be at 10.6 feet. That's moderate flood stage.

The National Weather Service reports the river is also encroaching on a nearby mobile home park, as well as backyards along the river.

A Flood Warning remains in effect throughout the night. Remember, never drive over flooded roadways.
