Man Charged in Double Fatal Crash in Ray Brook

RAY BROOK, N.Y. - Police arrested a man in the double fatal accident on Route 86 in Ray Brook Thursday.

New York State Police say they charged Trevor Sisto, 20, of Fort Covington, N.Y., with first degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer and driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was also ticketed for reckless driving, failure to keep right, and speeding.

Lake Placid Police also charged Sisto with first degree attempted assault, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, leaving the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle accident, reckless driving, and other traffic violations.

Sisto was arraigned and was remanded to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, or $200,000 bond.

New York State Police say the crash is still under investigation. Additional charges against Sisto are pending.
