ALBANY, N.Y. - New York Senator Betty Little (R) says she is not running for the open Congressional seat and will run for re-election to the New York State Senate.

The open Congressional seat became open after Rep. Bill Owens announced that he is not running for re-election.

"The past few years have been very productive and I'm hopeful for another strong legislative session this year," Little said in a statement.

Little says it continues to be a tremendous honor to represent residents of the 45th Senate District.
