NYSP Find Seven Pot Plants During Traffic Stop

SCHUYLER FALLS, N.Y. - A man was arrested after New York State Police conducted a traffic stop on Route 22B on Wednesday at around 4 p.m.

Police say they stopped 29-year-old Andrew Siskavich, who was driving a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 pick up truck, for not wearing a seatbelt. 

Police found a small quantity of dried marihuana, seven marijuana plants that were inside a box inside the vehicle. Troopers also found a pill that was identified as amphetamine-dextroamphetamine. 

Siskavich is charged with unlawfully growing marihuana, 7th degree unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was also issued a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt. 

Siskavich is due in court next Thursday.
