RAY BROOK, N.Y. - New York State Police is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash on State Route 86 in Ray Brook in front of Curtis Lumber.

Police say the roadway will be shut down for a period of time while they investigate the crash.

Anyone traveling in the area should seek alternate routes.

New York State Police recommend taking State Route 86 into Wilmington to the four corners, turn onto State Route 431 (Wilmington Memorial Highway), to Gillispie Drive, and Franklin Falls Road to the River Road in Bloomingdale. This route can also be reversely taken by motorists traveling from Saranac Lake toward Lake Placid.
