NORTH HUDSON, N.Y. - New York State Police say there were no pre-crash mechanical defects that caused a fatal Canadian tour bus to crash on I-87.

The bus, traveling from Three Rivers, Quebec to New York City, crashed on July 18, killing 14-year-old Chelssy Mercier. The tour bus rolled over in the median around 8 a.m.

Police have already ruled out drugs or alcohol, but do not know if speed was a factor in the crash.

New York State Police continue their investigation into the cause of the accident.
