NYSP: Police Looking For Two Missing Swimmers Near Hunger Trout Restaurant

WILMINGTON, N.Y. - New York State Police say rescue crews are conducting a water rescue near the Hungry Trout Restaurant on Route 86. The area where rescue crews are searching is known as the Flume along the Ausable River.

Water resources and a helicopter have been dispatched. Rescue crews are still trying to looking for two swimmers, possibly teenagers. Others were also swimming in the Ausable River. 

The water is going really fast and FOX 44 and ABC 22 Meteorologist Michael Page says that area received about 3.50" of rain over the past few days. 

New York State Police are on the scene with New York State Forest Rangers, Essex County Sheriff’s Department and several area fire departments.
