PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - It's back to the drawing board in Plattsburgh. Two plans to build a lakeside marina were voted down.

The city had asked for proposals to build a marina at the end of Dock street by the Plattsburgh Boat Basin.

Two bids came back, but the mayor says the city council had various concerns including the length of the lease.

"I think they felt they were trying to reach a decision too quickly for their comfort," Plattsburgh Mayor Jim Calnon (R/I) said.

Mayor Calnon says the city will continue working to gather info.

In the meantime, he says there will be improvements on the lakeside next year, including replacing the dock.
