Police: 18-Year-old Threatens Men With a Hammer

PERU, N.Y. - New York State Police say an 18-year-old man threatened two men with a hammer on Tuesday.

Christopher Besaw, of Peru, N.Y., is accused of swinging a hammer at a car the two men were in. He struck the front passenger side panel, causing a large dent.

Besaw was arrested and charged with 3rd degree criminal mischief, 3rd degree menacing, and 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon. 

Besaw was arraigned in the Town of Peru Court and was remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.
